News You May Have Missed July 14, 2923
Finally, Someone In The Democratic Party States The Obvious: Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT): “We cannot avoid the biological/evolutionary differences between men and women.” It’s a good start, but he seems to be limiting his remarks to the problem with men in today’s America. Will he take this thought to their logical conclusion that transwomen are different from women and should be banned from women’s sports? Doubtful.
Governor Abbott (R-TX), The Giving Gov.: “A third migrant bus arrived in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon with 30 passengers, nine of them children.” Governor Newsom (D-CA) should be proud that so many illegal immigrants are coming to his sanctuary state!
More FBI Abuse, Who Would’ve Guessed? “In an extraordinary intrusion on congressional oversight, the Justice Department used grand jury subpoenas to secretly obtain the personal email and phone data of at least two top House Intelligence Committee investigators back in November 2017 just as they and their boss, then-Chairman Devin Nunes, were assembling bombshell evidence of FBI abuses in the Russia collusion probe, Just the News has learned.”
This conduct from the FBI is nothing new and extends back to at least 1918 – 10 years after it was formed. Jester Politics is doing a series on FBI civil rights abuses in Twitter Spaces, next episode is Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
China’s exports record biggest decline in more than 3 years. This the latest news indicating China’s economy is in a significant downturn. I expect the down turn to deepen due to companies ‘decoupling’ from China.
The New Grifters – Universities. “In the last 35 years, Harvard’s tuition has seen a 90% increase in adjusted dollars. Has the school grown its faculty and course offerings to match that increase? No. It dramatically expanded its population of administrators. Harvard now employs over 7,000 full-time administrators. That’s more people than the school’s entire undergraduate population and three times the number of faculty members.”
Though it may not be as extreme as Harvard, most universities have rapidly increased both the price of admissions and number of administrators. They then have foolish (stupid?) people take on crushing debt to pay for the bloated costs of attending college. An added bonus for our universities is they don’t have to worry about being repaid – they already got their money, and the U.S. government is on the hook for any loan defaults.
“RFK Jr.: ‘CLIMATE CHANGE IS BEING USED TO CONTROL US THROUGH FEAR’” I’m not a big fan of RFK Jr., but he does tell it like he sees it, and in this case his vision is 20/20.
Texas is happy to aid sanctuary cities in their cause.
