JESTER POLITICS’ WEEKLY NEWS ROUNDUP FOR  SEPTEMBER 15, 2023

JESTER POLITICS’ WEEKLY NEWS ROUNDUP FOR  SEPTEMBER 15, 2023   Is Hunter Biden’s indictment all smoke and mirror to protect the President?  Mike Davis, a former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch thinks so: President Biden knows he cannot pardon Hunter right now. That would lead to politically and legally disastrous consequences before November 5, 2024. If pardoned, Hunter can no longer plead the Fifth Amendment–and refuse to testify before Congress. Hunter’s Fifth Amendment protections also disappear if Weiss gives Hunter a plea agreement with a prosecution waiver or some other immunity deal that shields him from criminal charges. Weiss’s charges today continue his deceptive pattern–for years–of protecting Hunter. More troubling, Weiss is protecting President Biden. Indeed, where are Hunter’s charges related to foreign corruption, acting as an unregistered foreign agent, tax evasion, wire fraud, and other criminal charges that could implicate President Biden? In other words, by charging Hunter, he keeps his 5th Amendment right to refuse to testify in his father’s impeachment related hearings.  If Hunter is found guilty and sentenced to jail it won’t be before the 2024 election and Joe Biden will pardon him after the election.  Even if Biden loses the election, he will still be President, and can still pardon his son until he leaves office in January 2025. Smoke and mirrors…   California, the promised land.  Not only do they have rampant organized retail theft, a record high homeless population, open drug markets, high taxes, and clueless politicians, but now they even have Pirates!  No, really, they have real pirates!  In Oakland Bay, really:  Newest Sign of California’s Decline: Pirates.   Speaking of California “Hermit may be living in mysterious house made of driftwood perched precariously on side of Devil’s Slide cliff on the Pacific Coast Highway – as officials say ‘we know someone is there but we don’t know who it is’.”  Probably where the pirates’ hangout when they’re not plundering stuff in Okland bay…   Fewer and fewer people are believing whatever it is the FBI is saying: “THE LAST THREE DEFENDANTS CHARGED IN THE FAKE FBI PLOT TO “KIDNAP” GRETCHEN WHITMER HAVE BEEN ACQUITTED”   We knew masks were not effective in preventing the spread of COVID.  Now research is showing they are harmful to those who wear them.  Yet our ‘experts’ in government are telling us we should mask-up again.  “The Harm Caused by Masks A new study suggests that the excess carbon dioxide breathed in by mask-wearers can have major health consequences.”  It is almost like they are trying to destroy trust in government and the public health profession.   A lot of people dislike House Speaker McCarthy, but he was on his game when he made an AP reported look the fool and eat her words about ‘no evidence’ for an impeachment inquiry.   Peer reviewed science journals are killing science.  The next time someone cites an article published in an academic journal, you might want to be skeptical:  “Why We Can’t Trust the Science Journals — A Climate Scientist Explains.” In theory, scientific research should prize curiosity, dispassionate objectivity, and a commitment to uncovering the truth. Surely those are the qualities that editors of scientific journals should value. In reality, though, the biases of the editors (and the reviewers they call upon to evaluate submissions) exert a major influence on the collective output of entire fields. They select what gets published from a large pool of entries, and in doing so, they also shape how research is conducted more broadly. Savvy researchers tailor their studies to maximize the likelihood that their work is accepted. I know this because I am one of them.   I am beginning to think large corporations are run by stupid people.  First Bud Light, then Liberty Safe, and now Dove: “BLM activist and Dove ‘fat acceptance ambassador’ Zyahna Bryant backed DEFUNDING the police – but called cops on DailyMail.com over polite interview request.” Jester Politics thrives on the generous contributions of people like you.
