Roundup! October 6th, 2023

1 Jester Politics’ Weekly Roundup for October 6. 2023 This is beyond disturbing: “Donald Trump Followers Targeted by FBI as 2024 Election Nears.”  It’s not an over exaggeration to point out this is something that you’d expect of Stalin, Mao, Putin, etc.…   Riddle me this, if there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud, then why has Florida referred almost 1,200 people for prosecution for engaging in voter fraud?  Remember, Florida leads the nation in purging its voter rolls of ineligible people, and yet they still had almost 1,200 cases of voter fraud….   Well, NYC you elected an idiot for a mayor and took pride in virtue signaling by proudly declaring your city to be a “sanctuary city.”  Now live with the results: “We don’t care if New York’s full – we want a slice of the action! Inside the Mexican shelter where migrants LAUGH at Mayor Eric Adams’ warnings not to come.”   What could go wrong?  “Top California Teachers’ Union Wants Homeless People To Sleep in Its Public School Parking Lots.”   Women are starting to take back what’s been taken from them by the Trans-movement.  “Virginia college swimmers reveal fight to keep trans athlete from joining women’s team after competing as male.”  Name and shame all those who try to participate in women’s sports.   This is not good: “U.S. F-16 fighter jet shoots down an armed Turkish drone over Syria.”  A bit of a convoluted story.  The Turks have been in a low intensity conflict with the Kurdish Peoples Workers Party (PKK) for years.  The U.S. has about 900 troops in Syria to counter ISIS and are allied with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).  Seems simple right?  Not so much. The Turks view the SDF as an arm of the PKK.  Not good when you have one NATO member – the U.S. allied with an organization another NATO member – Turkey views as part of a terrorist organization.  But it gets worse. On October 1, 2023, the PKK carried out a suicide bombing in Ankara – Turkey’s capital.  In retaliation the Turks have been hitting SDF controlled territory in North and East Syria with drone attacks.  Some of those drone strikes where within a restricted operating zone about a kilometer from U.S. forces.  The Turks were warned about operating in this area but continued.  When one of their drones came within a half kilometer of U.S. forces a U.S. F-16 shot it down. Setting aside how this incident affects NATO relations, and I don’t see how it cannot, I have to ask – if ISIS was “defeated” in 2019, as claimed, then why do we still have troops in Syria to counter ISIS?   Harvard Law, only the best…not so much!  Harvard Law instructor knowingly trying to spread a rumor he knows isn’t true about Elon Musk.  He who I believe identifies as a she seems to be a bit less than stable.   Looks like Canada’s Prime Minister Trudeau and President Biden are in a heated race to see who can cause the most damage to their country’s relations with other nations.  India Orders Canada to Remove over 40 Diplomats From Delhi Embassy.   If it wasn’t for a two tier justice system, we would not have a justice sytem:  “New Jersey cop rushed to help Bob Menendez’s wife after Mercedes crash despite being retired and convinced patrolman on duty to let her go without a sobriety test or having to hand over her phone.”   Nothing more need be said:  “Why America is Still Great: More People Own Guns and Dogs Than Cats.”   DEI is not only a scam, but a scam that’s harming our youth: “School Districts With DEI Officers See Worse Black, Hispanic Learning Loss and Secretive Transgender Policies.”  Why do we select the most intelligecutally dishonest people to be in charge of our public schools?   Share this post: on Twitter
