Jester Politics News Roundup For April 19, 2024

1 Jester Politics News Roundup For April 19, 2024 We should be ashamed.  Jake Tapper post on X that the Rabbi at “Columbia/Barnard sent a WhatsApp message to more than 290+ Jewish students this morning recommending that they go home until it’s safe again for them on campus…”  I reposted this with my comments that you can read at the link.  However, I want to point out here, that what’s going on at and around Columbia is not free speech, it is actual assaults and true threats, neither of which are protected speech and both of which are crimes.  (see; Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969), and Watts v. United States (1969)). The horrific antisemitism that is happening on the campuses of many of our “elite” universities is beginning to resemble 938 Germany.  It has to stop. The Orthodox Rabbi at Columbia/Barnard sent a WhatsApp message to more than 290 Jewish students this morning recommending that they go home until it’s safe again for them on campus because of extreme antisemitism at the university. pic.twitter.com/7HWvM2jVGg — Breaking News (@TheNewsTrending) April 21, 2024 Two things, first I’m glad it is extinct and second, I’m glad I do not live in India just in case it is not extinct.  “Giant extinct snake discovered in India was 50 feet long, said researchers.” No federal money to the Ivy League.  “A mob of Yale students shout “VIVA VIVA PALESTINA” as they tear down an American flag on campus, cheering when it hits the floor.”  These privileged white kids are so smart they managed to be anti-American and antisemites at the same time.  But the “smartest” of the lot – the professors and administrators – are worse in that they won’t even use their free speech to condemn these acts. Students at Yale are preventing another Jewish student from entering. This is abhorrent anti-Semitism, all of them should be banned from employment for life. pic.twitter.com/IVhLXmA1aG — Brigitte Gabriel (@ACTBrigitte) April 22, 2024 Welcome to Miami, Florida where even the iguanas vacation: “Florida iguana gets stuck in waterslide, lays 30 eggs in resort swimming pool.”  From the party of tolerance and inclusion.  Democratic congressional candidate Nate McMurray tweeted “Die MAGA die…” after the House voted to provide over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine.  Such a lovely person will surely work to unite all Americans… It is nice to know that incompetency is not restricted to the federal government alone: “California GOP leaders call for accountability after state can’t account for $24B spent on homeless crisis.”  But you know it has to get better.  Days after it became known the State can’t tell if the $24 billion, they’ve already spent had any impact on solving the homeless problem, the city of Santa Monica approved a $123 million building with 122 units to house the homeless.  As Dr. Sean knows, I am not a math whiz, but I believe that comes out to just over $1 million per homeless family. Who says that romance in wild west is a thing of the past? “Wild tale of Boston woman, 25, who was kidnapped by stranger threatening to shoot up Walmart on her first day in Wyoming – and ends up staying after falling in love with ranch hand.” Boston Woman Got Kidnapped Her First Day In Wyoming, But Built A Life Here Anyway https://t.co/IiXPcPrAUV — JT Badenov (@cbinflux) April 14, 2024 Shameful!  The members of Congress waiving Ukrainian flags on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives need to be reminded that they were elected to represent Americans, not Ukrainians. This is why we don’t wave other countries flags in Congress. Shame. pic.twitter.com/AGeF9hJttM — Buzz Patterson (@BuzzPatterson) April 21, 2024 I’m not sure why people think Israel needs America to defend it against Iran, or anyone else for that matter – it does not. “Israel’s advanced military technology on full display during Iran’s attack:” From the Iron Dome, which in its latest format uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve accuracy when shooting short-range surface-to-surface rockets, to David’s Sling, which intercepts short- to medium-range and medium- to long-range surface-to-surface missiles, to the Arrow 2 and 3 systems, which is used for longer-range ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as AI-driven aircraft and other technology, Israel’s defensive operation proved it was far superior to the offensive capabilities of the Islamic Republic. Israel’s aerial defense array shot down an estimated 99% of the 350 drones and missiles Iran launched at it. What Israel needs is America’s diplomatic support, which this Administration is at best giving reluctantly and sparsely. For JWST and Hubble, the usual routine is to use blue for the shortest wavelengths, green for in between, and red for the longest wavelengths.” Seems about right for academia; “St. Louis University to host Dylan Mulvaney, denies College Republicans request to hold event with former NCAA swimmer a day later.” Jester Politics thrives on the generous contributions of people like you.
