The Attempted Assassination of President Trump: A Stark Reminder of Our Divided Nation Yesterday, our nation was shaken to its core by an unprecedented act of violence: an assassination attempt on former President Donald J. Trump. This brazen attack on a pivotal figure in American politics is not merely an isolated incident; it is a stark reminder of the deep divisions and escalating tensions that threaten the very fabric of our republic   The Incident   Details are still emerging, but what is known is that President Trump was targeted while attending a public event. Despite the presence of Secret Service agents and local law enforcement, the attempt was alarmingly close to succeeding. While we are grateful for their eventual intervention, the fact that the situation escalated to such a critical point raises serious questions about the efficacy and preparedness of the Secret Service in safeguarding one of the nation’s most prominent political figures.     A Climate of Hostility   This attempt on President Trump’s life did not occur in a vacuum. It is the culmination of years of vitriol and demonization directed at him and his supporters. From the moment he announced his candidacy in 2015, Trump has been the target of relentless attacks from various quarters. The current president said, “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye,” just five days prior to the assassination attempt. The mainstream media, Hollywood elites, and even some members of his own party have contributed to a narrative that portrays him as a dangerous, illegitimate figure.     Mainstream Media   The mainstream media has been one of the most aggressive in their attacks on President Trump. Major news outlets like CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post have consistently portrayed Trump in a negative light. Reports often focused on controversies and scandals, sometimes at the expense of his administration’s accomplishments. For instance, coverage of the Russia collusion narrative dominated headlines for years, despite being totally debunked. Even after the Mueller Report found no sufficient grounds for criminal conspiracy, the media’s focus on the issue never fully abated.   Hollywood and Entertainment Industry   The entertainment industry has also been a significant source of criticism against Trump. Many celebrities and influencers in Hollywood have openly expressed their hostility toward him, using their platforms to voice their opposition. High-profile events such as award shows have always included derogatory comments and satirical portrayals of Trump. Comedians and television hosts, including Saturday Night Live, John Oliver, and Stephen Colbert, have consistently mocked and criticized Trump, contributing to a pervasive negative portrayal in popular culture.     Political Opposition   Trump has faced relentless attacks from political opponents, both from the Democratic Party and within his own Republican Party. Prominent Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer, are vocal critics, always opposing his policies and questioning his legitimacy as president. Within the Republican Party, figures like Mitt Romney and Adam Kinzinger  openly criticized Trump, highlighting divisions within his own party.   Social Media and Tech Giants   Social media platforms and tech companies also play a role in amplifying criticism of Trump. Platforms like X and Facebook are battlegrounds for political discourse, with Trump’s statements and policies subject to intense scrutiny and backlash. Furthermore, actions taken by these companies, such as Twitter’s decision to permanently suspend Trump’s account, is censorship and an effort to silence his voice.     The Role of the Media   The mainstream media bears a significant share of the responsibility for the current state of affairs. The relentless pursuit of sensationalism and ratings has destroyed responsible journalism. Instead of providing balanced coverage, all media outlets have chosen to amplify the most extreme voices and scenarios, fueling fear and division. The media’s portrayal of President Trump has been particularly egregious. From accusations of collusion with foreign powers to constant character assassinations, the media has played a crucial role in shaping public perception. This demonization has not only undermined Trump’s presidency but has also contributed to a broader culture of intolerance and hostility.   The constant barrage of negative coverage and incendiary rhetoric has fostered a climate of hostility. When influential voices repeatedly label a democratically elected leader as a tyrant or a threat to democracy, it should come as no surprise that some individuals might take such rhetoric to its violent conclusion.     The Secret Service: A Concerning Lapse   The Secret Service, charged with protecting the nation’s leaders, failed in their fundamental duty during this incident. While their eventual response was commendable, the fact that the attempt got as far as it did is unacceptable. Although any investigation would be totally compromised, this lapse in security protocols demands a thorough investigation and a reassessment of current practices. For an organization with such a critical mandate, there is no room for error. The Secret Service must ensure that their agents are adequately trained, equipped, and prepared to handle any threat, no matter how unexpected. The safety of our leaders depends on their ability to anticipate and neutralize dangers before they materialize.     Political Violence: A Growing Threat   Political violence is an alarming trend in the United States. The attempted assassination of President Trump is just one in a series of violent acts motivated by political animosity. From the attack on Congressman Steve Scalise in 2017 to the riots and looting seen in various cities, there is a growing acceptance of violence as a means of achieving political ends. This trend is deeply troubling and antithetical to the principles of a republic society. In a Constitutional republic, change is achieved through dialogue, debate, and the ballot box, not through intimidation or violence. The Democrat Party Hates You

1 The Democratic Party has abandoned its traditional values and principles, and is now a hostile party to the American way of life. This political party is attempting to transform the United States into a socialist country, and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, even if it means undermining the Constitution and destroying the American dream. The history of the Democratic Party, from its founding in the early 1800s to the present day, has always been on the wrong side of history – supporting slavery, segregation, and other forms of injustice. They have always been more interested in power than in principle, and have been willing to make deals with the devil to achieve their goals. No longer a legitimate political party, the Democratic Party is a radical organization dedicated to the destruction of the United States. Embracing socialism and Marxism, the party has abandoned its traditional commitment to free markets and individual liberty, in favor of a big-government system that would centralize power in the hands of a small number of elites. For example: the ACA represented a move towards a significant government role in healthcare, with its mandates, subsidies, and regulations. This increased government involvement in the healthcare sector undermines individual liberty and free-market principles. It placed substantial power in the hands of government agencies and bureaucrats who make decisions about healthcare coverage and regulations and has proven to be an unmitigated disaster. The Democrats hostility to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They are consistently seeking to undermine the fundamental principles of American government, such as the separation of powers and the right to free speech. Their advocacy of adding Puerto Rico and Washington DC as states is specifically targeted to add four more Democratic senators and thus prevent the Republicans from ever winning a majority in the Senate. Their desire to add Justices to the Supreme Court, with their lifetime appointments is so they will forever control the ideological makeup of the Court in their favor. The Democratic party’s support for open borders and illegal immigration. They are more interested in helping illegal immigrants than protecting American citizens. Sanctuary cities are places where local law enforcement limits their cooperation with federal immigration authorities to protect undocumented immigrants. This policy prioritizes the interests of undocumented immigrants over U.S. citizens. The Democratic party’s attacks on the police and the military. They are weakening the institutions that are responsible for keeping Americans safe. The Biden administration implemented a vaccine mandate for all active-duty service members; if the veteran did not take the vaccine, they were discharged. Scores of experienced military member were culled out of their respective branches. The Biden administration also directed the Department of Defense to incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training into its curriculum, which was yet another way to force members out of the military who didn’t agree with them. War on the Constitution The U.S. Constitution is the second greatest document ever written and it is under attack along with the Bible by Democrats and this is how: Democrat support for open borders and amnesty for illegal immigrants violates the Constitution’s Article I, Section 8, Clause 4, which gives Congress the power to regulate immigration. Democrat promotion of socialism and big government violates the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment, which reserves all powers not delegated to the federal government to the states or to the people. Democrat attacks on the Second Amendment which guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. Democrat support for abortion and same-sex marriage, violates the Constitution’s First Amendment, which guarantees the free exercise of religion. Democrat efforts to censor conservative speech and promote a woke ideology in education and the media, violates the Constitution’s First Amendment, which guarantees the freedom of speech. Democrats’ Hatred Towards the American Citizen The Democratic party is waging a war on the American people, both physically and psychologically. Their support for open borders and amnesty for illegal immigrants is weakening the country’s national security and sovereignty, and it is also harming American citizens by driving down wages and increasing crime rates. Their promotion of socialism and big government are leading to economic stagnation and a loss of individual liberty. The national debt has skyrocketed and that inflation has reached a 40-year high under Democratic leadership. Attacks on the Second Amendment and law enforcement are making the country less safe. Crime rates have skyrocketed in every Democrat led city since they began calling to defund the police. The Democratic Party is no longer the party of the American people. They have instead become a radical left-wing party that is more interested in promoting a woke ideology than in helping the American people. Here are some specific examples: Gun Control Measures: Democrats have pushed for stricter gun control measures, such as universal background checks, bans on certain firearms (e.g., assault weapons), and limitations on magazine capacities. These measures infringe upon the Second Amendment right to bear arms. Laws, such as the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 and various state-level gun control measures are totally violative of the Constitution. Campaign Finance Regulations: Democrats have supported campaign finance reforms to limit the influence of money in politics. These measures infringe on the First Amendment right to freedom of speech, as they place restrictions on campaign contributions and expenditures. The Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (McCain-Feingold Act) is an example. Hate Speech Legislation: Democrats have proposed laws aimed at combating hate speech and hate crimes. Overview of US Government and the United States Constitution

jesterpolitics.com Overview of US Government and the United States Constitution   For context- I’m Jenny in rural northern Maine, though I grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and have lived in many cities across the Eastern United States. My career in years past afforded me the luxury of traveling North America, the Caribbean and Mexico. In college, I graduated with a double major in history and English. Current events and being politically aware have always been important to me, and I try to keep up. October 7 and the days and weeks following were a bone chilling eye opener for me. I worried that the attack would be the catalyst for worldwide disruption. I felt ashamed that I was so ignorant of the disruption it would create in my own country. From that day forth, I have been working to get caught up and refreshed on how this happened. I was also ashamed that the amount of muck I would have to wade through looking for resources had eluded me. Fortunately I happened upon jesterpolitics.com. Keep in mind, I am aware that I have a lot to do and a whole lot more to learn/relearn. These are my wonderings after reading the Overview and The Constitution essays on jesterpolitics.com. The link to constitutioncenter.org was excellent. I read the Constitution for the first time since my sophomore year of college. It is certainly one of the top two or three most beautiful documents ever written. I would put the Ten commandments and the Dead Sea Scrolls as among the top three. I am not Jewish but support Israel fully. My goal is to read what other people think and participate in finding the truth in these odd current events we are experiencing. Thank you so very much for reading and sharing your opinions and knowledge.   The mysterious United States Constitution is one thick fog bank and absolutely clear at the same time, at least to me. Is that how we arrived at this mess, loopholes, foggy text?   I am terrified that the Electoral College will be eliminated. The sleep lost worrying about what would happen is a struggle for me.   1.3 Federalism seems to be out the window.   1.4 Is this the crux of Soros, Schwab and Gang? Our young citizens are no longer well read in the governing documents of the United States providing them with the sense and knowledge to think for themselves. I watched a story about Tic Tok. If accurate, our young people get all their information from Tic Toc.   3.2.1 Executive Orders Exactly how far does Presidential power reach in issuing executive orders?   3.4 Abuse of Power In my opinion, the citizens are taking the brunt of abuse from the entire government.   4.2.3 Oversight Huge cause for concern because Oversight wins the grand prize for being the cluster of all clusters. There is no oversight. They are just just hopping around it like a hot potato.   How is negligence defined, addressed, and corrected? Is everything through the court system? Who brings charges and starts the process?   Federalism seems to have been upheld with Roe v Wade. I understand this is a sensitive issue. I have one word for my government these days-cluster.   Was Jan 6 really an insurrection? Some citizens did commit acts of destruction (Nancy’s Office) but what about the Declaration of Independence:   That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Can you add the Declaration of Independence to the Government Mechanics section? It seems to be a forgotten document.   Side note: Mark Levine was talking about the fathers of the enlightenment Saturday night. Levine discussed the men of the Enlightenment and their influence on our Founding Fathers just as Taz has.   The fact that our Founding Fathers used the opinions of so many other brilliant thinkers to create the masterpiece we know as the United States Constitution confirms they are equal to their forebears. After minimal, at best, catch up in these documents and writings, I find myself even more distressed because it is now clear that Washington DC leaders are not well read in philosophy, history or the founding documents of the United States because they have NOT read them! What is to prevent revolutionary (Progressive) leaders from amending the Constitution into obsoletion? The Electoral College is in jeopardy along with several amendments.   Writings on the prevention of tyranny-It feels like we are in the midst of tyranny due to the collusion between the three branches with the goal of corrupting the idea of checks and balances.   Individual rights are fascinating in current times with people blocking roads to JFK airport, violence and destruction against a speaker at UC Berkeley forcing the event to be canceled because there was no effort to disperse or arrest the protestors that did break windows and physically attack attendees.
